Review your 2027 coverage options

Every year, Medicare plan costs, drug lists, and pharmacies can all change. Open Enrollment is the one time of year when you can review these changes and join, switch, or drop a Medicare drug plan.*

What to know

As of October 15, Medicare plans have announced any upcoming changes for 2027. Since plans reset on January 1, if you do nothing, your current plan (along with any of the noted changes) will automatically renew for next year.

What to do

  • Review any changes your plan has made for 2027 and determine if your medications are covered
  • Decide if you will keep your current plan or change plans
  • If you have any questions, sign up for support from a VynAssist Access Care Manager, who can help you through the process for your VYNDAMAX prescription

December 2026

Prepare for your first 2027 VYNDAMAX fill

Whether you have kept your plan or changed plans, your doctor will need to get your VYNDAMAX prescription approved for 2027, either through a renewal or a new prior authorization.

What to know

  • Kept your plan? Your VYNDAMAX approval still needs to be renewed for 2027 through your insurance
  • Changed plans? A new prior authorization for VYNDAMAX will need to be submitted to your new plan
  • Your plan card for 2027 should arrive in the mail in late December

What to do

  • If your plan has changed, call your doctor and share your new insurance card information
Transition tip

If your next VYNDAMAX refill is due in late December, refill before December 31 to help avoid any interruption in accessing your medication.

January 1, 2027

New coverage starts

When your 2027 plan coverage begins, the deductible and yearly limit resets. Additionally, if the renewal or new prior authorization wasn’t sent in December, your doctor’s office can submit it now.

Under Medicare Part D, what you pay out of pocket for covered Part D prescriptions in 2027 is capped at $2,400, no matter which medicines you take.

Specialty medicines often reach the cap at the first fill of the year, and after that you pay $0 for ALL of your Medicare Part D prescriptions, including VYNDAMAX

Financial support options are available to eligible patients:
